Morocco-Exotic, Exciting & Beautiful!
Looking for a weekend trip that combines memorizing views and breathtaking adventure? Then Morocco is the place for you! However, be prepared to cram 30 hours driving in three days (don’t worry, it’s totally worth it. I mean, look at these views!)
Upon arriving in Marrakesh, we were greeted by our van that would guide us through the Moroccan landscapes. We immediately drove six hours to the mountains, where we refueled with a traditional Moroccan dinner. Following a restful sleep, we woke to a delicious breakfast coupled with astonishing views.
Knowing that we were heading to the Sahara, we eagerly piled into the van for an eight-hour drive. I know what you’re thinking… “Eight hours?!” You have to trust me. You’ll forget about the long car ride once you are emersed in the beauty of the Sahara.
We practically jumped out of the car once we saw the views. My friends and I sprinted to the dunes and sat in awe at the surrounding landscape. There were endless mountains of sand, perfectly sculpted and shaped. I deeply admired how the wind molded the dunes to create intricate patterns, as if a sculptor had chiseled each sand wave into the dunes.
After admiring the beauty, we took this time to play in the sand like children: building sandcastles, running down hills, and doing acrobatics. Our playtime was followed by magnificent camel rides, then we zoomed through sand dunes on ATVs, and ended our day by sand sledding into the sunset. I promise you, the astonishing beauty of the Sahara, the thrilling adventures, and the quality time with friends will make 30 hours of driving feel like 30 minutes. You would be a fool to let long drives scare you away from this magnificent adventure!
